Stone Dugout #1 Candelaria, NV This is one of the few remaining dugout residences along the main street in Candelaria. Much of the rest of the town site has been obliterated by the modern day mining activities (now abandoned, in-turn). What wasn't lost to strip mining, heavy machinery movement, and vandalism, has vanished under the mountainous tailings piles.
