Nixon-Wingfield Block #1 Goldfield, NV The sign over the door reads 'Nixon-Wingfield Block', named after two of the primary mining financiers of the early mining rush around 1904, George Nixon and George Wingfield. This building also appears to have been a headquarters or office of the Goldfield Consolidated Mines Company. The building seems to be fairly well preserved as an historical landmark, although part of the building's facade has fallen.
