Ocotillo Swansea, AZ
Another of the distinctive Sonoran Desert plants, the Ocotillo, is seen here silhouetted against the rising moon. The Ocotillo in the area had responded to recent rains and the warm spring weather with the first flush of new leaves, as well as the first few tentative flowers, looking not unlike small red pennants flying from the branch tips.
