Arch #2 Goldfield, NV Another view of the ruined store front arch. The nice red lighting is actually from the taillights of the local Sheriff's squad car. I had a nice time chatting with him for a few minutes while waiting for the timer to beep. On both of my visits to Goldfield I made a point of stopping by police HQ to alert them that I would be photographing in the area (just in case of any reports of prowlers and odd lights). I find that the local authorities are generally very open and appreciative of such a courtesy. (...and if not, I wouldn't want to shoot there anyway!)
