Combination Mill Smokestack

East Belmont, NV

This towering structure dominates East Belmont and marks the site of the Combination Mill. Constructed in 1868 for over $225,000, the 40-stamp Combination Mill was the largest of six mills in the area. The mill was idled for the last time in 1879 and was razed in 1914, with the bricks being used in the construction of the nearby Cameron Mill. Little remains of this huge mill, except for this one massive smokestack, a few stone walls, and the bullion room vault.
