Tree Study #1

Treasure City, NV

This is another of the gnarled Mountain Mahogany trees yet clinging to life on a barren and wind-blasted cliff on Treasure Hill.

All about this area are dotted the shafts and exploratory diggings of the Treasure Hill silver mines. Many stone-walled miners shacks huddle in the lee of boulders and cliffs - anything to escaped what must be a viciously windy and bitterly cold location. Not far away lies the main Treasure City town site, founded in 1869.
