Handprint #1 Volcanic Tablelands, CA This deeply-etched petroglyph appears on a large block of the Bishop Tuf, together with many other symbols - handprints, footprints, bear paws, and other less recognizable entopic designs. Yet, it is this symbol that really stands out from all the rest. Who was this person who left his handprint here? What was his life like? How long ago did he pass by? Again, only the handprint remains - an empty sky and the melancholy sigh of the wind hold no answers.
