This one of many structures still standing at the Atolia mine site. Roughly half of this building is simply missing; judging by the extent of the concrete slab. Much of the rest of the building frame is exposed - stripped of its sheath of corrugated sheet metal by the desert wind storms. Given the dryness of the desert, these structures can endure for many years. These skeletal buildings make wonderful silhouettes against the night sky - this place is a Nirvana for a night photographer.
