Stairway Atolia, CA This is another of the ruined buildings at Atolia. This image shows some of the barrels so common in an adjacent building. The label on one barrel indicates the drum contained olive oil. Also seen here are stairs and the remnants of a forge to the left. These buildings are still, save for the creaking of timbers or the creak and bang of sheet metal flexing in the breeze. The air smells of dust, old grease, and oil. This is still my first outing using the new 1,000,000 candle power flashlight - it's taking a bit to get used to it!
