Memorial #1 Darwin, CA This Stonehenge-like monument is located in the town of Darwin. This monument has been constructed by a local artist, Hal, as a memorial to his departed father. Many other examples of Hal's art can be seen around Darwin; ranging from massive carved modern art sculpture to more subtle and whimsical scrap metal creations seen in quite unexpected locations. Hal has a very comfortable Earth-sheltered home and studio - filled with an tastefully eclectic mix of sculpture, carvings, books, and cats.
